When The story of Tracy Beaker first hit our screens on CBBC news round the presenters where trying to grab an audienceto get them interested in watching the new childrens drama series.
News round interviewed the Children starring in the drama and the writer of the book Jaqueline Wilson. They talked about how she came up with the idea - which was when she saw a little girl in the news paper desperate for adoption, and came up for the idea of Tracy Beaker.
In the early beginnings of the 21st century on the BBC The Story of Tracy Beaker was adapted from fictional book to a real life drama series starring Dani Harmer as the real life Tracy Beaker.
