Modular Narratives in contemporary cinema - Articulate a sense of time as divisible subject to manipulation by Allan cameron

4 types of Modular Narratives:

- Anachronic: Flashbacks no clear dominance.
- Forking Paths
- Episodic
- Split screens

Anachronic: They repeat scenes or via a different perspective

Forking Paths: Juxtapose different stories or versions - showing possible outcomes and contradict the other (might result in different changes and / or outcomes)

Episodic: Are organised in an abstract series elements and sequences

Anthology: Consists of a series of shorter tales, share random similarities e.g The Simpsons Tree House Of Horrors.

Split Screen: Are different from the other. Modular narrative, articulated along spiral lines rather than tamperol. (in one space, not time) These films divide films into two or more frames events with some visual field, in a sustained frustration e.g timecode.
