task 1 media industries project
for the first task, you are required to get into groups of two or three and present research on a specific media sector. you will need to include a clear discussion of the following
- the history and growth of the media industry
- the structure and ownership of the media industry
- ethical and legal constrains in relation to the media industry (codes of practice, produce guidelines, social issues and sensitivities. representation issues)
you will present your findings in the form of a pamphlet. you are expected to also include evidence of annotated/highlighted research and a full list of references

Printing
- Acrylic Ink - to make the image
- photosensitive emulsion - to create image and trap light?
- Pallet knife - to put medium onto screen
- Apron / Shirt / news paper - to absorb mess
- Printing screen medium - to press and create image
- squeegee - to spread ink
- Jet wash - to wash equipment
- Troff - to scoop and spread ink
- print materials (shirt and paper) - to print work onto
- lightbox - to make the print
- screen mesh - to transfer design onto material
Health and Safety
- Wash hands - so you dont ingest chemicals
- Put down wet floor signs if the floor is wet, obviously - so people dont slip
- No eating or drinking within the print room - so you dont make crums or ingest chemicals?
- Put bag and coat at the back of the classroom - so people do not trip
